Lawrence Toaldo is the Managing Director of Conrad Gargett, appointed in 2017 after a prolific 13 year tenure as a dedicated Design and Project Director. Lawrence graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with Honours in 1996 and joined Conrad Gargett in 1999. He has established a respected reputation as both an accomplished architect and visionary project lead, reflected in his substantial portfolio of acclaimed work showcasing a diversity of projects, both in Australia and abroad.An attuned and collaborative practice leader, Lawrence motivates and empowers his team, driving creativity, design excellence and the delivery of value that surpasses expectation.He is driven to uphold Conrad Gargett’s legacy of innovative, world-leading architectural structures that endure, not only because they are well-made and provide lasting utility, but because they understand the people that engage with them.
Brad specialises in leading digital transformation strategy and implementation in large corporations. Brad focuses in financial services and consumer business, while also launching new digital products within traditional businesses in other sectors. At heart, Brad is a new technology innovator and early adopter with a passion for designing and delivering services that get used by millions of people everyday. Brad’s experience covers strategy, customer led design, digital transformation implementation and realisation of benefits through effective transition to operations. These are typically major customer facing technology programmes across a wide range of customer technologies requiring complex integration, involving high transaction volumes and specialist security standards. Aside from his expertise on digital business transformation, Brad is a trusted advisor to C-level executives and boards through his role as Deloittes’ National Lead for the exponential technology agenda. This agenda is responsible for understanding the emerging exponential technologies and educating and advising our clients on how they can harness these technologies to disrupt their business. Over the last 11 years Brad has worked with a number of well known organisations on their digital transformation programmes including: BBC, ITV, British Telecom, Phonographic Performance Limited, Radiotelevisione Italiana, Radio Television Hong Kong, EA Games, RACQ, Flight Centre, QBE, AGA, Queensland Super, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group and BG group to name a few.
Tony is a highly experienced city and transport planner with particular expertise in smart city strategy and technology.Tony is a highly experienced city and transport planner with particular expertise in smart city strategy and technology. He has recently developed the world’s first Automated Vehicle Implementation Strategy for the NSW government as well as implemented one of Australia’s first Smart Parking Trials for the ACT. His presentation will focus on the impacts of technology on city building and why this matters to the property industry. Tony has worked in most sectors of the economy including local, state and federal governments, along with private and not-for-profit sectors. He has also practiced and lived in four Australian States: NSW, Vic, ACT and Qld and in both regional and capital cities.
